Alaska- the most northern state in the USA. The statistics are enormous: a surface six times bigger than Germany but with a number of inhabitants similar to Stuttgart. Numerous glaciers, lakes, endless forests - an intensive natural experience is omnipotent.
The excellent infrastructure facilitates an impressive experience of nature.
Far away from civilization
From Anchorage, the outset of our journey into the wilds, we naturally take the typical and most interesting means of transport in Alaska: the dog sledge. Under the instruction of the sledge-leader, the so called "musher" the participants have the opportunity to lead huskys themselves. During a country-style dinner they can experience the special atmosphere of the Idatarod-race, the most popular dog-sledge race in the world.
Motorized they continue the next day with snowcat-super-vehicles whereby areas of huge glaciers as well as old gold mines (short term gold rush included ) can be reached. With a little good luck you can experience the unique performance of northern lights at night.
Equipped with snow shoes and long-distance skis the white landscape is explored the next day and a traditional igloo is built together. As a finale and highlight we reward you with an unforgettable BBQ on the glacier.
By the way: Alaska is not only a destination in winter! Summer and autumn offer various possibilities to enjoy nature like nowhere else. For example with fishing salmon. Or watching alasca-bears fishing for salmon.
